About Us
Meet the founders
The directors of Gud Heart are Kwaku Osei-Yeboah and Nana Osei-Yeboah. Kwaku is a professional in the fields of finance, banking and management and has been for almost 20 years both in the UK and the Middle East spanning across secured lending, compliance, risk management, sales management and wealth management. This is after studying mining engineering for three years. Kwaku managed portfolios and investments up to a total of half a billion dollars in his final years prior to quitting his job to partner with Nana to undertake this venture. Nana has a project management background, has facilitated over $130million in government projects and has managed and delivered a $28.5million sea defence project. This excludes the private businesses and projects the directors engage in, which range from quarrying/mining, agro-processing, energy to real estate.
Who is Gud Heart
Gud Heart Quarry and Construction Limited (Gud Heart) was incorporated in Ghana (on the 11th of September 2015) and it is an entrepreneurial, mining and industrial production entity that has social responsibility at the forefront of all its endeavours. Having seen first-hand, the amount of granite deposits not being exploited due to lack of capital, suitable machinery, expertise, logistical challenges, and lack of reliable and reasonably priced energy among other reasons, we have decided to explore the dimension stone industry starting with granite cobblestone production and then moving into other products with ready markets due to their unavailability on our local market. The partners of Gud Heart have resolved to invest in these ventures to further grow Ghana’s GDP whilst creating numerous opportunities in its value chain from production, marketing to installation. Scientific research, historical facts and existing construction projects have over the centuries established granite as one of the most (if not the most) durable materials for construction of floors, walls, counter tops, coastal engineering, to mention but a few.
Having spent the first 24 months of its inception on research and development together with its consultants from Czech republic(Geztra CZ), Our consultants from Italy(Pedrini), The University of Ghana Geology Department, Geological survey department and the Ghana Association of Engineers, Gud Heart Quarry and construction Ltd now owns one of the few feldspar licenses in the country. We also are the only producers of granite cobblestones for flooring.
Our key customers can be summed up as any property owner or construction firm requiring long lasting flooring solutions with unparalleled longevity, value for money and aesthetics. We also have foreign buyers awaiting our products to import as Ghana has varied colours and textures of very much sought after granite. Car parks, stations, pavements, promenades, homes, drives, ports, streets are a few of the final installation locations of granite cobblestones we target.
Our model is to create or engage SMEs that will act as sub-contractors for installation of cobblestones. All they need to do is register with us. We offer paid training to the installers within their company and then give them jobs for them to complete with quality control undertaken by ourselves. One of such SMEs is GALTECH ENTERPRISE LIMITED. We are open to more of such companies to help expand the use of granite cobblestone and skilled labour within this niche.
Social and corporate responsibility is at the forefront of our drive to build multiple cobblestone plants around Ghana and extend to other parts of Africa. Nana Konadu Ampomah II is the Queenmother of Tabere in the Sekyere South district and our mother. Being members of the royal family, (and being custodians of the land) we have undertaken projects for the community and sponsored brilliant kids through school, helped in recovery from storms etc. which we pray for the strength and means to carry on. Looking after the people has been the main focus of our family over and beyond our mother’s over 27 years as Queenmother. We aim to employ women, disabled people and mentor kids through work experience and training programs to unearth potential in dealing with the ever abundant natural resources we are endowed with as a nation, sticking to what we have grown up believing in.
